Don’t jude, look beyond the face and see the person.
“This poem is about guiding in life and how sometimes you struggle choosing the right path to lead, but most importantly this is a personal poem and I wanted to show others my experience throught it.”
I enjoy art and drawing because it is peaceful and fun. It makes me feel warm and relaxed. I like to draw eyes because all eyes are different and I like to explore my creativity. I draw red if I’m angry as this helps me to express my emotions. Are just makes me feel good!
Stardom versus reality – I focused on what the audience sees versus a stars real life, the two are very different things. Marilyn Monroe was perfect for this piece due to all the objectification and scandal surrounding her. She hated that everyone oversexualised her, even though she tried hard to fight in a patriarchal society. I used dots to represent this as it was a gruelling process and shows her struggles and hard work that shows how truly mesmerising it can appear.

I enjoyed art because it’s fun, interesting and it challenges my mind. It makes me feel relaxed. Art is a calming mechanism and helps with my emotions. I am passionate about drawing, and I am willing to try new ideas with paint, chalk, pencil and pastels.
Our worldwide community, produced by Year 1 pupils at Finchale Primary, which came from discussions on how we are all part of the wider world and that through kindness, community and inclusitivity we can all come to understand each other and live together peacefully.
Our communities, produced by Year 3 pupils at Finchale Primary. Young people thought about all of the communities they belong to and and depicted these. This includes families, out of school activities, friendships, school, church etc. what links all of these together are the pupil’s that share a class. Some of the young people have joined groups because their friends go. School community has encouraged membership of other communities.
Pieces, produced by Year 5 & 6 pupils at Finchale Primary. Belonging to our community, the year 5 & 6 pupils thought about what it means to belong to a community and what their own responsibilities are within that community, both within and outside of school this includes trust, resilience, respect, inclusitivity, community and kindness which are all six of the schools values. The young people talked about the importance of belonging and how it made them feel.

Inspired by the work of Luke Dixon, I created a vibrant portrait in fineliner pen and colour pencil.
Positivity, love, friendship, respect and trust.
Inspired by the work of Maurizio Anzeri I chose the pattern of Captain America’s sheiks to represent his strength.

Inspired by the work of Tomasz Mro, I chose this image as it represents how men are silenced by society about their mental health and other problems.
Animals are important, animals matter, be kind to animals.
Dreamers, nothing is impossible for thoe that dream. I wanted to make a gradient and then I wrote on the words which I think speak for itself.
Life is tough… but so are you

Mental health matters, talk to someone, it made me feel better.
Sakura in moonlight, this piece is about stopping to look at nature. I used paper and tissue to create layers.
This is home – this piece of work was inspired by my interest of landscape photography and this also shows my appreciation for the local scenery.
