East Durham Rural Corridor Engagement
We currently have two projects funded by the East Durham Rural Corridor Area Action Partnership.
The first project is an online youth forum and website to give children and young people an opportunity to see what they can get involved in and to have a say.
Young people have designed the website to include an agony aunt style advice page, what’s on page and other relevant information.
The second project is working with groups of children in 3 Primary Schools in the area to allow children to have a say about what is important to them and help them to make changes to their villages.
The children will work with local Councillors, PSCO’s and other members of their communities to make positive changes.
Last year the children planted 2,000 daffodil bulbs in Cassop, made posters about anti-bullying and organised a family coffee morning in Bowburn.
